WINDOW TYPES EXPLAINED

Stormproof Windows

Stormproof windows are a modern variation of the traditional casement window. On a stormproof window the casement slightly overlaps when closed to ensure a completely watertight/weathertight fit. Our stormproof windows are fitted with modern friction hinges as standard these allow the window to stay open without the need for casement stays. Traditional stormproof hinges are also available but with this option you would need the casement stays. Stormproof windows are
fitted with espag locking system as standard (see picture in stormproof window page)

Flush Casement Windows

These windows are more traditional unlike the stormproof windows the panes sit flush with the frame of the window when closed rather than overlapping. Our flush casement windows are fitted with heavy duty ball bearing butt hinges (stainless steel or brass PVD finish) and locking fasteners and casement stays.

LOW E GLAZING
For energy efficiency our windows are supplied with 4/16/4 (24mm) Pilkington K S argon gas filled
double glazed units (U value of 1.2) with warm edge spacers.

We can supply other types of glass or supply the windows without.
*Our windows are heavy so for delivery and fitting purposes glass is supplied only glazing beads are supplied cut to size.

Our windows are supplied with trickle vents (if required), weatherseal to all sashes and window ironmongery

PAINT COLOURS

Our painted windows are treated with three coats of microporous Teknos paint (factory spray applied) providing a fully finished product

We tend to use the Farrow and Ball shades click the paint card below to see them all. We can also match RAL colours.
Teknos can match most paint manufacturers colours.
