Bespoke Doors by Jonathan Elwell

STAINED / NATURAL FINISH OPTIONS

We do not insist you protect our products with canopies, overhangs or porches. As long as you are prepared to maintain solid wood there is no reason why it cannot out perform many man made materials.

European Oak, Iroko, Idigbo and Sapele are all woods which can be stained. All our products are Full Factory Finished before leaving us. Unfortunately, we DO NOT send out any unfinished products.

TEKNOS MICROPOROUS FULL FACTORY FINISH
This includes one coat of stain base coat, end grain sealer and two coats of Teknos topcoat
Full factory finishing is very popular as the products then need little attention. However we would advise to recoat translucent stained products after six to twelve months depending on weather conditions. Many factors can influence the durability of the finish, exposure conditions vary significantly in the U.K. Click here to view the Teknos maintenance guidelines

ALL OUR QUOTES INCLUDE THE FULL FACTORY PAINT OR STAIN FINISH

OSMO WR BASE
On all our Oak products we apply a coat of Osmo Aqua WR before the components are put together this ensures the product is fully coated in every area. Osmo WR is a colourless liquid which soaks into the timber and prevents splitting and warping and also cuts down on the black mildew that can occur when Oak gets very wet.
